Meet the Founders
From the spice coast of Kerala to the wild coast of Tofino.
Hormese, Sreerag and Rohan grew up surrounded by the bold, aromatic cooking that Kerala is famous for — coconut groves, curry leaf, slow-toasted spices, and recipes passed down through generations. Between them, they bring decades of experience in some of South India's most celebrated kitchens.
What started as three friends sketching menus over chai has grown into 250 Social Bar + Kitchen — an ambitious experiment in bringing Kerala technique to Canada's west coast. Pacific seafood meets fragrant masala, the smokehouse burger sits proudly next to a Butter Chicken Barrel, and every plate carries a story from home.

This is a new restaurant that just opened. We came in for lunch on the opening weekend and had lovely food (tofu Bao buns and butter chicken) - it was delicious, fresh and served pretty quickly. The service was great and the decor is fresh, stylish and clean. We loved it so much we just came back in for dinner, but in the excitement to eat forgot to take a photo of the food - we had 250 bowl and Tofino Tide - again lovely food! The Butter Chicken Poutine was incredible! We tried two burgers, the kids chicken sandwich and the Poke bowl and cleaned all of our plates. Such a great spot with lovely service!
Went there for my lunch break and my phone wouldn't charge. They said to come back later when I could to pay. Friendly environment. I got the 250 bowl and dangg that was good! Well balanced healthy option. No meat need but is an option to add on. So happy there is this option in town now! Will be going back.
Delicious! We went for the soft opening and tried the Fried Chicken, Pork Belly Bao, Butter Chicken Poutine, Smokehouse Burger with the House Salad and the Mango Tiramisu for dessert. Everything was super flavourful, fresh, and tasted like good quality ingredients were used. Very reasonable prices too! We will definitely be back and also recommending this place to others!

Had an amazing experience at 250 Social Tofino! I tried their hummus and chips, and it was honestly one of the best I've had. The hummus was incredibly fresh, smooth, and packed with flavor, while the chips were perfectly crisp and complemented it beautifully.
The atmosphere was welcoming, the service was excellent, and you can tell they put real care into the quality of their food. Sometimes the simplest dishes leave the biggest impression, and this was definitely one of those moments.
If you're visiting Tofino or looking for a great place to relax and enjoy delicious food, I highly recommend stopping by. I'll definitely be coming back to try more from their menu!

Really enjoyed my visit! The food was fresh, full of flavor, and the portions were great. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and the staff were friendly. The 250 Bowl was definitely the highlight for me. Looking forward to coming back!
